Extend your holiday by staying on in the tropical beach paradise that is Akwaaba Beach, which literally translates as 'Beach of Welcome'. Located 30 kilometres from Accra in the seaside suburb of Teshie, it is a charming little family-run guesthouse, which is the perfect place to chill out after an adventure in Africa. Extending from the beach the landscaped garden is filled with tropical plants including coconut palms. Meals can be enjoyed on a rooftop terrace and room are decorated with an Africa flavour. All rooms have private facilities, ceiling fans, TV, radio, fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. Our guesthouse is situated on Beach Road and there are several other hotels along this strip, some with swimming pools. If you wish to use a pool, you can just go around to one of these hotels and pay a small fee to enjoy a swim there. Also many of these hotels have live entertainment in the way of musical acts or bands, so that's another option to consider in the evenings.
