Relax and indulge in exotic Zanzibar!
The very name conjures up exotic images of sinuous streets and alleyways heavy with the scent of nutmeg, mace, cinnamon and coriander. This is the ‘spice island’, a tiny dominion off the coast of Tanzania, once ruled by the Sultan of Muscat. Strategically located near the mouth of the Persian Gulf, it has, at one time or another, been home to Egyptians, Assyrians, Portuguese, Indians, Dutch and English - all of whom were attracted to the island by the lure of trade or rich plunder. Today the island has much to interest the traveller. Apart from the various spice and fruit plantations, there is the old town, Persian Baths, the old slave market, a myriad of winding streets and labyrinthine passageways, and the Beit-al-Ajaib, or ‘House of Wonders’, the former palace of the Sultan.
After enjoying the hustle and bustle of the Stone Town area, you then experience a considerable change of pace and outlook by transferring to the east coast of the island for two days to relax and enjoy the tropical beach surroundings, or to indulge yourself in more active watersports.
All airport transfers and transport, accommodation and meals.

The Tembo Hotel, once an American Consulate, is located in the heart of Zanzibar town and is surrounded by historic buildings on the sea front. The first thing that strikes you will be the wonderful colouring and beauty of the hotel. It is fully equipped with all first class facilities. Today you have the whole day to explore the old town, or relax at the hotel. A tour of the spice plantations is highly recommended and is easily arranged locally through our local operator, Zanzibar Unique. On the spice tour you should see and taste a variety of spices (cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, etc.), as well as tropical fruits. Your guide may also introduce certain rare plants including the henna bush and lipstick tree before you are driven back to Stone Town.
You will be transferred to the East Coast of Zanzibar by our local operators (the exact transfer time will be advised by our operators). Here you will be shown to your hotel - Breezes Beach Resort. During your time on the East Coast you can enjoy safe swimming, excellent snorkeling, diving and other watersports plus wind surfing and water skiing. There is a fitness centre for those who want to do some exercise prior to the excellent meals served in the restaurant. Breezes Beach Club, located on the east coast of Zanzibar, is a wonderful resort situated along a white sandy beach. Each room has private facilities, air-conditioning and is tastefully decorated. There is a swimming pool, water sports and fitness centre, restaurant, bars and shopping bazaar. It’s a perfect place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of Stone Town and your safari.
