Day 1
Arrival at Honfleur H-B
You are staying right in the centre of town. A walk around this fascinating harbour and the visit of the museum which is (mainly) given up to Boudin’s paintings are the suggestions of the day.
Day 2
Honfleur to Honfleur B&B 36 or 58 km
You follow the coast to Trouville-sur-Mer and Deauville to admire some of the greatest Anglo-Norman architecture to be found. Then you go back to Honfleur via the Chateau of William the Conqueror and the Saint-Gatien forest. On a longer loop, you go up the village of Beaumont-en-Auge and you can visit the Manoir des Eveques in Canapville.
Day 3
Honfleur to Brionne H-B 58 km
You follow the Risle River through Pont-Audemer and Montfort-sur-Risle. You should have time to visit the Great Abbey of Bec-Hellouin just before getting to the quiet town of Brionne.
Day 4
Brionne to Pont-de-l’Arches HB 42 km
You ride eastwards, cross the Eure Plateau through a mixture of woods and open fields before going down the Seine Valley.
Day 5
Pont-de-L’Arches to Vernon HB 50 km
You follow the Seine River upstream for the whole journey on peaceful roads. After crossing the river on a couple of occasions, you’ll arrive in the lovely town of Vernon.
Day 6
Vernon to Vernon B&B 16 or 42 km
The highlight of the day is the visit of Monet’s garden. The longer option takes you through the Vexin natural park, the boundary between the dukedom of Normandy and the French Capital.
Day 7
The trip finishes in Vernon after breakfast.
