Day 1
Arrival at Bayeux H-BYou can visit the famous tapestry, the cathedral, and the commonwealth war museum, which are allocated in the centre of the town, as well as the wonderfully preserved old part of the town.
Day 2
Bayeux to Bayeux B&B 40 or 52 kmYou cycle east towards Courseulles and Juno Beach. After a stop at the peaceful Canadian cemetery, you ride westwards along the coast (Gold beach) in order to visit Arromaches with its remarkable artificial harbour (Mulberry) and the German battery of Longues-sur-Mer before returning to Bayeux.
Day 3
Bayeux to Carentan H-B 61 or 68 kmYou ride to Omaha beach to visit its impressive American cemetery at Colleville sur mer. After la pointe du Hoc, we suggest a quiet road south, passing near the German cemetery at La Cambe before entering the Natural park to find your accommodation in the centre of Carentan.
Day 4 Carentan to Regneville-sur-mer HB 52 km
You ride South-West through the Bessin Natural Park. You go by Coutances and its cathedral before reaching the sea-side for the evening.
Day 5 Regneville to Granville B&B 32 or 56 km
The short ride follows the wild coast to Granville. The longer option goes through typical villages and to the Abbey of Hambye. You then follow the narrow Sienne River to Granville Harbour.
Day 6
Granville to Avranches HB 48 or 62 kmYou keep cycling south until you discover the bay around Saint-Jean-le-Thomas. You follow it to the south headland of Grouin before going up to Avranches city centre. The longer route passes near the well preserved Abbey of La Lucerne.
Day 7
Avranches to Avranches B&B 48 or 64 kmToday is given up to the visit of the Mont-Saint-Michel, the Abbey and the bay.
Day 8
The trip finishes in Avranches after breakfast
