Dijon, former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, is a town steeped in history. With a rich architectural legacy, Dijon lies at the gates of the famous vineyards of the Côte de Nuits. Dijon is one of the glories of the French gastronomic tradition, known throughout the world for its mustard, blackcurrant liqueur and gingerbread. It is also a university town, and has a rich cultural centre that you will enjoy during your walking tour.

Ready for a fun cycling trip....but not quite the Tour de France! We will get on our very comfortable Hybrid bikes and cycle through the most famous vineyards of Chardonnay and the villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and along canal. A journey of about 25 kilometres, it should take no longer than 4 hours. There are hardly any hills, the scenery is great.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the canal and leave the bikes to travel for approximately 2 hours by minibus to get to Cluny.
Our hotel in Cluny is located close to the Abbey in the centre of town.
