Day 1 (Fri)
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel.
Day 2
Drive to Agra and visit the Taj Mahal.
Day 3
Visit the Fatehpur Sikri en route to Karauli. Stay in a Rajput palace.
Day 4
Explore 600-year-old Karauli, including the palace and countryside farms.
Day 5
Drive to Jaipur and visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), Jantar Mantar and City Palace.
Day 6
Morning visit to Amber Fort. Drive to fort at Sawarda. Explore the village and timeless countryside.
Day 7
Village walk. Continue to Mandawa. Stay in stunning 'haveli' (private mansion) in this semi-desert region.
Day 8
Walk around Mandawa and discover the markets and frescoed 'havelis'. Optional sunset camel ride.
Day 9
Drive to Delhi. City orientation, including India Gate and Janpath Bazaar.
Day 10
Fly to the Himalaya and Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.
Day 11
Kathmandu sightseeing - Pashupatinath Temple and Bodhnath Stupa
Day 12
Fly to Pokhara. Drive, then walk, to the picturesque village of Chainabatthi.
Day 13
Return to Pokhara, with the afternoon free to explore the town.
Day 14
Drive to Chitwan National Park.
Day 15
Wildlife safari on elephant-back and by dugout canoe. Bathe the elephants.
Day 16
Morning safari before driving to Kathmandu.
Day 17
Trip ends in Kathmandu this morning (Sun).
